Family Day event- A day and event worth knowing

As you work in the human resources sector, you know how important it is for employees to balance work and family life. And you will probably have noticed that it is a subject increasingly valued by the employees, especially since they are in the young recruits. Millennials have new concerns!
What if you let everyone know that your company really cares about this?
Family Day in Business - the perfect opportunity to talk about parenting in business, and put on the table the topics of balance and well-being.
Concretely, what happens during this corporate family day?
Often, especially in small and medium-sized enterprises, parents do not feel legitimate to address the subject for fear of being "frowned upon." It is, therefore, the role of the employer to defuse this point and open the discussions. So, during Family Day, many things can be done.
For a simple start, organize a lunchtime meeting where parents, managers, human resources managers, and happiness officers can freely discuss the issue of work-life balance. How do parents organize themselves? How do they live their double life? How do managers compose them with this? What measures could be put in place? This is an opportunity to survey the inventory and communicate on existing measures (part-time, leave, nursery, etc.) that would be unknown. It's equally interesting for non-parents to understand the daily lives of their colleagues!
And even why not organize a corporate family day, with people from the HR team, who answer questions throughout the day?
To go further, you can offer employees to bring their children to the office for half a day, and organize a snack on this occasion: what better to strengthen the engagement of the collaborator and the links in the teams?
You can also involve entrepreneurs and professionals in early childhood and parenthood, so that they answer questions from parents and/or lead workshops: coaches, nursery teachers, applications for parents, manger manager, and first aid training- everything is possible!
And this day is more important than it seems! Survey the employees, and you will hear that more and more people are exchanging claims for higher wages for more "recognition and listening on a daily basis" and more services offered by the company, especially those who make it easier to reconcile family and work. This demand is all the stronger because the employees are young, part of this generation Y; in other words, the Millenials.
What services are we talking about then? Simple measures can already make a big difference: parental leave, arranged schedules, telecommuting. Simple signs that prove to the employee that the company is receptive to its expectations. Whether it is pre wedding planning, or another event, an event organizer is the ultimate solution.
And it is these actions that contribute to the retention of young employees and attract new talent!
